Chardee’ J. Scott has been drawing, doodling, and designing for as long as she can remember—but becoming a mom unlocked a whole new world of imagination. By day, she’s the award-winning owner of Pinch Design Co., crafting bold brands and creative magic for authors, small businesses, and artists. By night, she’s sketching cute characters, whimsical worlds, and colorful adventures inspired by storytime with her daughter.
A Maryland native with a degree in Visual Communication and Digital Media Arts from Bowie State University (plus a fancy certificate in UX Design), Chardee’ loves using her creativity to make ideas leap off the page. Illustrating children’s books has been her childhood dream—a way to blend her love of art, storytelling, and motherhood into something little readers can enjoy again and again.
When she’s not at her sketchbook, you can find Chardee’ exploring new museums, trying tasty bites around town, or turning everyday family moments into sparks of inspiration.
CIARRA ROULHAC SMITH
Ciarra Roulhac Smith is a lifelong wordsmith, fueled by coffee, curiosity, and an endless stack of books. An English major by training, she’s spent years dancing between the pages of classic literature and the chaos of daily life as a devoted wife and mother of two spirited little humans. When she’s not corralling her family or chasing plot twists of her own making, you can find her scribbling stories, getting lost in a novel, or imagining worlds where anything is possible. Ciarra believes that a good story has the power to make hearts bigger, minds wander, and laughter inevitable.
